Leonard graduated from the University of California’s Boalt Hall School of Law, where he served as the Managing Editor of the California Law Review and earned Order of the Coif honors. Following law school, Leonard was a Fellow of the International Legal Center of Djakarta, and then practiced law in Honolulu, Hawaii before moving to the Dallas area.
